Positions in this job family have
responsibility for financial accounting (statutory/GAAP Accounting),
investment, cost accounting, accounts receivable, etc. This family also
includes all positions responsible for financial analysis, budgeting,
forecasting, financial planning, audit, tax and treasury, health care
economics, and any financial support of a business department, excluding billing,
underwriting, actuarial, pricing and network pricing.



Employees in this position prepare and
maintain records of accounts receivable, including receipts, claims and overdue
invoices. Apply all incoming cash receipts to the appropriate general ledger
accounts. There is research and investigation involved with this position,
so it is not just a processing position. Must have an understanding of accounting
principles, general ledger accounting, and reconciliation.

The employee in
this position will assist in system migration testing, general ledger
reconciliation, team reporting and metrics, perform team member training,
develop process improvement projects and assist in audits.  This role will require technological
proficiency and understanding to be successful. Primary Responsibilities:

Reconcile cash – Balance Accounting
system funds against bank deposits.Reconcile general ledger – Prepare
all general ledger reconciliations Cash Application is responsible for. (Cash
suspense, general suspense, refund clearing, unapplied cash)Cash reporting / metrics – Develop
metrics for cash application team from multiple accounting systems using excel
and utilizing pivot tables.Designated UAT tester – Execute test
scripts for Cash Application job functions.Team member training – Assist in new
hire training and team cross training efforts.Process improvement – Identify
process gaps and complete improvement projects.Audit – Assist in Sarbanes Oxley
(SOX) and Payment Card Industry (PCI) audits.Post payments – Lockbox- manual and
automated applications, EFT, Credit Cards.

Bachelor's Degree or higher OR High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of Cash Application experience4+ years of Cash Application
experienceIntermediate level of Microsoft
Excel proficiency, including creating pivot tables for reporting purposes,
completing v-lookups, writing formulas.Accounting software experienceReconciliation experience
