The Sr. QA Analyst is an integral member of the Quality Management Office (QMO) and will help develop, implement, and institutionalize processes; participate in the Engineering Process Group (EPG); work closely with the Program Management Office (PMO) and Project Management, communicating issues that may impact the execution of multiple projects.
 
The Sr. QA Analyst may be tasked with working closely with various project management teams, validating that products are compliant with contract requirements, QSSI processes and procedures, CMMI models, and System Development Life Cycle frameworks.
 
The Sr. QA Analyst will leverage and integrate with quantitative management initiatives, such as earned value management and service level agreements, to support comprehensive process improvement implementation.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Assisting an organization in achieving and maintaining CMMI compliance
Managing multiple simultaneous QA efforts
Working on full life cycle implementation teams
Working with quality assurance processes (CMMI, ISO, Six Sigma)
Reviewing and auditing projects against defined processes using detailed checklists, with attention to detail
Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with / for all Project Managers in the organization as well as the QSSI PMO
Excellent presentation and reporting skills; as this position may require attending client-facing meetings
Can-do attitude- this person must be hands-on, not just evaluating the quality processes currently in place, but helping each and every project achieve compliance
Must be flexible, and can work with many different layers of management and project teams
May be responsible for documenting and creating the processes for projects based on QSSI processes, client requirements, and CMMI-DEV and CMMI-SVC models
Responsible for training and coaching project members on the newly defined processes and then auditing them for compliance once institutionalized
Training engineers in process and quality improvement principles and the CMMI
Gathering and presenting metrics and progress on implementation and raising any items that are not complying with the contract and defined quality standards
Conducting self-assessments and readiness reviews to prepare a project for process maturity evaluation by an external assessment team
Setting up and using an electronic process asset library to store organizational process assets and best practices that are used by team members to improve performance
Working on a SCAMPI appraisal and with the PIID spreadsheet used for appraisal readiness
Managing tasks using MS Project and reporting status to senior management
 
 

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

BA or BS in Business, Information Systems, Engineering or a quality- related field
8+ years of relevant quality assurance or process improvement experience
5+ years of experience implementing or applying CMMI for Development or CMMI for Services
Preferred Qualifications:

SEI-sponsored “Intro To CMMI-DEV” or “Intro To CMMI-SVC” course completion
