As
a Healthcare Recovery Coordinator, your main role is to support our
Subrogation Analysts and assist in their recoveries by gathering plan
documents, sending letters, and reviewing medical claims.   This role is heavily production based with a high volume of incoming tasks.   Therefore, you must be able to work in a fast paced environment, multitask and handle changing priorities.
Primary Responsibilities: 
Ensure compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA)Research and analyze information gathered through investigationValidate contact information, and accident-related injuriesReview
responses from external vendor data query, input contact information
and notify the proper parties of our subrogation and right of recoveryResearch and gather appropriate plan documents from multiple sourcesReview claim platforms and compile a list of related medical claims Prepare Subrogation demand packages for submission to insurance carriersThoroughly document all written and verbal communicationsAbility to maintain professionalism and confidentialityAssist with training and mentoring for other Subrogation staff as neededOther tasks or projects as needed to support the Subrogation Team

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GEDWork Shift 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday2+ years of experience working in an officeExperience with MS Outlook including the ability to send/receive email, set out of office, and update calendarExperience with MS Word including data entry and documentation creationExperience with MS Excel including data entry, sorting, creating and modifying spreadsheetsExperience with MS PowerPoint including presentation creation
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Medical Billing, Coding or ClaimsKnowledge in Medical TerminologyAn understanding of Subrogation Principles, Health Insurance, and/or P&C Insurance
Soft Skills:

Ability to learn and use multiple claims systems at once
Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills required; ability to exercise good judgment
Open to change and new information; ability to adapt
behavior and work methods to changing organization and integrate best
practices into the subrogation recovery process
Detail-oriented with strong organizational, and
customer service skills, able to work well under deadlines in a changing
environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently
Demonstrated ability to work effectively
independently and within a collaborative team oriented environment using
sound judgment and decision-making
Excellent communication skills both oral and written with strong presentation skills
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
Frequent speaking, listening using a headset,
sitting, use of hands/fingers across keyboard or mouse, handling other
objects, long periods working at a computer
Service center environment with moderate noise level due to Representatives talking, computers, printers, and floor activity
