Equipment Operator/Material Handler

Material Handler Opportunity

This is a long term contract with a national utility company.

This is a 1st shift position.

Monday-Thursday 4'10's potential for overtime!

$16/hr pay (pay will increase with time there and performance)

Job Description:

• Under semi direct supervision, receive, identify, inspect, tally, and complete necessary record work in connection with unloading or shipping materials and supplies in the operation of a Distribution Center, and perform associated work.
• Prepare material for shipment or storage; identify and record salvaged material returned; usable material in stock; assist in performing inventory counts; *Perform paper or computer work necessary for unattended storerooms; *All work will be performed according to the client's procedures, practices and safety rules;

Requirements:

• working knowledge of warehouse operations for receiving, issuing, storing and recording materials and supplies; *must be familiar with related accounting practices and procedures using electronic data processing; *demonstrated ability to operate any automotive equipment and its auxiliary equipment involved in transporting materials and supplies and all material handling equipment; *must be able to perform clerical, inventory and accounting work involved in an accurate and efficient manner.
