The Material Coordinator will be supporting Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality to ensure product changes are accurate and valid.

- Review the Engineering Changes they get notified about, audit to determine whether documents have to be sent to the suppliers or not; and decide what suppliers the changes needed to be sent to (ensuring the right suppliers receive the right documents)
- PPAP document review: once the Supplier Quality Engineer creates the PPAP they'll link the PPAP to SAP
-> Also have to make sure the PPAP is well written
- Update SAP to reflect accuracy of the data that's been received and reconcile invoice errors if needed
-> If this does not get done the supplier does not receive an invoice.

OFFICIAL DESCRIPTION
The Material Coordinator - Contractor will ensure proper introduction of purchased product changes to manufacturing locations by managing Requests for Purchasing Actions (RPA) and Product Change Notifications (PCN) of purchased products, while ensuring accuracy and validity of all related purchasing master data in relevant systems.
He / She will use the RPA system to track tooling, samples, and PPAP completion to help keep projects on schedule.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administrate Requests for Purchasing Actions (RPA) and Product Change Notifications (PCN) focusing on engineering changes related to direct material specifications, phase in and phase out (obsolescence) of finished goods and components, and associated bill of materials
- Ensure the accuracy and validity of purchasing related data and to facilitate the maintenance and up-keep of Purchasing Master Data through coordinated efforts across the buyers, planers, IT, Materials and Global Procurement communities.
- Make SAP changes to maintain Material Master data integrity, Product Information Records, buyer code accuracy and reconcile Product Information Records and Material Master data
- Upload PPAP approval to the systems and perform Quality Assurance functions to ensure accuracy of received data.
- Constantly search and seek out improvements for procurement processes that eliminates non-value-added activity and incorporates relevant best practices. Overall goal is to improve purchasing support to management, buyers and supplier quality engineers.

MUST:
- Highly proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Relevant experience in supply chain, accounting, engineering, process management or other professional experience
- Ability to think proactively and seek out/identify areas for improvement

PLUS:
- SAP, specifically purchasing and material management functions
- PPAP
