Summary
This position is responsible for selling and servicing all Apria products and services in the assigned sales territory, as well as the day to day operations of the branch. This position works closely with the branch staff and the Customer Care Center to focus efforts on increasing sales. The position is also responsible for meeting revenue and profitability goals for their assigned territory in addition to ensuring that the total branch profit and loss goals are met. This position will work with the Market Leader to develop and execute specific strategies to achieve these sales, customer satisfaction and profitability goals.
 
  • Conducts sales calls to establish new and maintain ongoing business with referral sources in the medical community.
  • Validates and develops territory call plans to qualify new and maintain existing accounts to grow the business.
  • Enters call plan and logs calls along with the decisions and outcomes into the "Sales Management System" (SMS).
  • Uses Apria reports and data such as target ratings to identify referral targets and helps in validating as well as updating of incorrect/old data
  • Communicates and explains Medicare guidelines around private insurance procedures, pricing information, and product information to referral sources.
  • Maintains accurate records on prospective and active accounts ensuring information is sent to suspended billing.
  • Responsible for total profit and loss for the branch.
  • Monitors staffing levels, expenditures, asset equipment utilization and inventory levels to ensure maximum profit margins.
  • Ensures proper acquisition business integration.
  • Ensures the effective operation and management of all functional areas of the branch such as customer service, accounts receivable, clinical and distribution.
  • Implements and maintains office procedures and controls in compliance with company policies. 
  • Ensures facility is maintained in an attractive, safe and efficient manner.
  • Ensures operational procedures comply with federal, state, local and Joint Commission regulations.
  • Assists in developing, interpreting and implementing new policies and programs.
  • Ensures achievement of accounts receivable objectives for the branch in accordance with company standards.
  • Creates an environment of excellence in serving customers and works closely with customers (patients, physicians, referral sources etc.) to resolve complaints.
  • Responsible for implementing Performance Improvement Process and demonstrating improved outcomes.
  • Responsible for enhancing branch revenue budgets by developing new business leads, as well as servicing the new accounts.
  • Responsible for hiring, coaching, performance appraisal and disciplining of subordinate staff.
  • Performs other related duties as directed by supervisor.
 
 
Qualification:
  • A four year college degree and at least three years related experience is required
  • Must have experience in one of the following\: military service, prior leadership in athletic, academic or voluntary service activities.
  • Must be highly motivated, flexible, and service-oriented.
  • Should have strong presentation and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain solid working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Learn and comply with all Department of Transportation requirements determined for use of Apria vehicles
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development.
  • Geographically located within the assigned territory.
