Client in the Hanford/Lemoore area is currently looking for an experienced Shipping and Receiving clerk.

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will be responsible for, but not limited to, all activities surrounding inbound and outbound loads, management and review of loads' customer compliance, allocations, special requests, and on-time shipping. This assignment will also be responsible for daily reporting and communication with other office and warehouse positions.

Shipping and Receiving Clerk Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prioritizes the unloading of inbound based on daily reports
  • Updates the "Shift Turnover Report" as needed
  • Assigns all inbound documents to warehouse associate for unloading purposes
  • Keys inbound orders into internal system
  • Assigns put-away locations for inbound loads
  • Creates consolidation/relocation tasks for shift and alter as needed
  • Communicates trailers needed for outbound orders
  • Alters pick locations as needed
  • Communicates with customers
  • Ensures Yard Spotters have current move sheets for outbound loads to be pulled or inbound loads to be staged in a door
  • Verifies trailer set up at end of shift for the next shift
  • Complies with all GMPs and safety/security guidelines
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned by the supervisor and/or other management
Shipping and Receiving Clerk Qualifications:
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups or customers or employees
Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Previous receiving, shipping, and yard management experience
Additional skills:
  • Ability to use Office related software including Word, Excel, and Access
  • Ability to create and maintain Excel documents and spreadsheets as needed
  • Ability to interact with and manipulate data within an in-house database
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups or customers or employees
Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Previous receiving, shipping, and yard management experience a plus

  • Ability to use Office related software including Word, Excel, and Access
  • Ability to create and maintain Excel documents and spreadsheets as needed
  • Ability to interact with and manipulate data within an in-house database
