Job Description:
Responsible for the daily operation of the product areas in order to meet customer requirements. Interfaces and coordinates the efforts of assembly, manufacturing engineering, inspection, and production support personnel to achieve this end.
Responsibilities:
Controls and releases order to assembly in time to meet customer delivery dates
Monitors and manages workload on assembly floor.
works with assembly production manager to adjust assembly work force as necessary to support production requirements.
Coordinate the tracking and expediting of job cards for internally manufactured components from initial order through all production processes.
Initiates purchase requisitions, ensures that purchase orders are placed in a timely manner for OSP components.
Follows up on purchase orders on a regular basis to ensure delivery to schedule.
Plans and coordinates implementation of stocking programs.
Works closely with staff in all departments including sales, engineering, production, quality, operations to ensure on time delivery of customer orders.
Interacts with other company facilities world-wide concerning order management.
Handles customer and other inquiries.
BS in business or engineering related field or demonstrated hands on experience
Working knowledge of Manufacturing Resource Planning and its concepts.
Knowledge of connector manufacturing processes is desireable.
MS office software, word, excel, outlook is necessary.

Qualifications: 3-5 years experience as a production planner in a high volume manufacturing environment. Highly motivated, can identify areas in need of improvement and develop plans to achieve those improvements. Strong interpersonal skills. Good communication skills.
BS in business or engineering related field or demonstrated hands on experience
Working knowledge of Manufacturing Resource Planning and its concepts.
Knowledge of connector manufacturing processes is desireable.
MS office software, word, excel, outlook is necessary.
