Crew Member

Crew Members at Five Guys learn valuable new skills that can help them develop a career for their future. Crew Members need to implement all the standard operational procedures of the company and make sure that every customer receives the best customer service possible. Major responsibilities include taking orders, serving food, cleaning the dining area and other work stations and ensuring the total cleanliness of the workplace. Crew Members must also make sure that the food that’s being served is always fresh and has undergone the proper food handling procedure.

Essential Functions:

• Trained to fulfill many different positions within the restaurant
• Offers friendly service to all guests
• Dining room attendant
• Ensures food quality and 100% customer satisfaction
• Handles food preparation including grill, drinks and fries
• Maintains restaurant sanitation including cleanliness, neatness and customer accessibility
• Works as part of the team and supports other employees in their duties

Supervisory Responsibility:

• This position does not have any direct reports but reports to the manager on duty and store manager.

Work Environment:

• The Job operates in a Fast Casual restaurant environment. The role routinely uses grills, fryers, point of sale operating systems and office equipment

Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, sitting, walking, bending, Kneeling and reaching the entire time scheduled. The employee must lift and/or move items that weigh up to 30 pounds a minimum of twice an hour.

Position Type and Expected Hours:

• This is a part-time position

Position Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required
• Good communication and interpersonal skill required
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Must be able to perform basic math and operate a cash register
