Accountant - Full-time / Part-time

Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking an Accountant for a client in the Newport News, VA area. This position will be a long-term contract position with possible permanent potential supporting a Corporate Accounting and Finance department.

Duties

• Prepare financial and statistical reports
• Post journal entries and maintain general ledger
• Manage all aspects of accounts receivable
• Process transactions
• Monitor daily financial operations
• Review financial reports and accounting statements to ensure accuracy
• Assist with budget preparation and forecasting
• Prepare and review reconciliation of accounts
• Assist with audit and tax preparation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office required
• Minimum 2-4 years demonstrated accounting experience
• Background/drug screen required

Salary: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
