Position Summary:
As a Logistics Routing Associate the employee is part of a team responsible for the shipping assignment of all inbound freight. They are tasked with reviewing all Routing Requests (TMS, faxed, and/or emailed) and determining if the vendor is compliant and allowing proper lead time. While enforcing Burlington Stores, Inc. requirements, they are then to assign the Burlington Stores, Inc. carrier with the most competitive rate. In doing this, communication is required with all parties including carriers, vendors, buyers, and others.

The associate must acquire knowledge of all Burlington Stores Inc. Routing requirements and constantly strive for maintaining department service levels such as all Requests are to receive a full response within 24 hrs.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
-Enforces Burlington Stores Inc. Routing requirements and must effectively communicate this to the vendor, carrier, and/or Burlington Stores Inc buying group.
-Negotiate the most competitive rate while monitoring carrier performance
-Must maintain the response time service level of all requests receiving reply within 24hrs.
-Must learn to operate within the web-based Transportation Management System (TMS). Also needs to monitor any exception based manual routings thru fax or email.
-Must maintain Excel data log while dealing with time sensitive purchase orders

-Responsible for monitoring 2 national Routing phone lines along with team. Strong customer service is required when communicating.



-Have very strong customer service skills
-Have a strong sense of urgency in dealing with time-sensitive information and Purchase Orders.
-Should be comfortable and fluent in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
-Maintain a positive attitude while working in a fast-paced environment.
-Ability to work within multiple computer systems
-Feel comfortable communicating and working with a team.
-Ability to quickly learn BCF lead-time requirements and to effectively communicate this to various parties (vendor, carrier, buying group etc.).
-Professional email communication skills
-Should have solid Math skills
-Ability to work independently without constant supervision
