Assistant Nurse Manager ICU Critical Care

An opportunity is now available for an Assistant Nurse Manager of Critical Care ICU on Long Island about 30 minutes from New York City.

This 300-bed hospital is affiliated with a larger healthcare system and offers a full service acute care medical center. Service lines include Med Surg, Cardiac, telemetry, ortho, neuro, rehabilitation, primary care and emergency services to name a few. Recognized for their excellence in nursing care, the Assistant Nurse Manager will have the support of tenured and qualified RN’s.

The Assistant Nurse Manager will provide direction and support of patient care activities, unit staff, initiate nursing care plans, and supervise patient admissions.

Collaborating with the Nurse Manager of the MICU, they will be a liaison between leadership, clinicians and patients. The Clinical Nurse Leader of the Medical Intensive Care Unit will assist with planning, implementing, developing, and evaluating nursing programs, goals, objectives, and initiatives for the appropriate unit.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned registered nurse, who has exceptional critical thinking skills, organizational abilities, and outstanding communication skills.
