Operating Room Registered Nurse - Full-time / Part-time

A Coastal Northern California Medical Center is seeking experienced nurse for their busy Surgical Services Department.

The Operating Room Staff Nurse will be responsible for the coordination of patient care services for Operating room. As a patient and nurse advocate, the OR Staff Nurse will promote the optimal level of patient care.

The Surgical Services Staff Nurse will provide direct patient care in a robust and busy Perioperative Services Department which features cutting edge technology throughout the 10 Operating Rooms. The Medical Center performs over 3,100 inpatient and 6,400 outpatient surgical procedures annually. The dynamic team of tenured surgeons perform a wide variety of procedures: vascular, Cardiovascular, Orthopedic, General, Obstetrics, Opthomology, Transplant, Endoscopic, and many more.

The Perioperative Services Staff Nurse will be responsible and accountable for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality-nursing care in a patient and family centered care environment according to the philosophy and goals/objectives of the Medical Center.

The OR Staff Nurse will assess, plan, evaluate and document the nursing process in the Perioperative Department as needed. The Operative RoomNurse Staff will ensure patient support through infection control processes, sterility assurance, and product and instrument availability.

Reporting to the Surgical Services Nurse Manager, the Nurse Staff will assist in the overall management and leadership of the OR unit or groups of patient care units within Nursing Services. The Operating Room Staff Nurse will be responsible for all clinical and operational activities of the units in accordance with the Medical Center mission, vision, and value.
