Assistant Nurse Manager PICU Pediatric Intensive Care Unit - Full-time / Part-time

An exciting career opportunity is now available for a Pediatric ICU nurse to take a step up into leadership as an Assistant Nurse Manager of the PICU at an established hospital in New York City.

This 600+ bed non-profit, academic medical center is part of renowned health system in New York. The Clinical Manager of the PICU will report to the Nurse Manager of the Pediatric Critical Care Unit and join a highly diverse team of healthcare workers. The nurse leader will be supported by a charge nurse and have full responsibility of all daily operations during the assigned shift.

The PICU Assistant Nurse Manager will be Master’s prepared and bring strong leadership abilities to step in when the Nurse Manager is not available. The clinical Manager will manage patient care and lead the staff RN’s to deliver the best patient outcomes.

Responsibilities that the Assistant Nurse Manager will have includes:

• Quality improvement for the unit
• Assist the Nurse Manager with fiscal planning
• Assess staff competency to determine educational needs
• Provide education and development to staff as necessary
• Ensure that each patient is receiving quality, individualized care
