Nursing Director of Mother and Child Services - Full-time / Part-time

An excellent opportunity has become available for the position of Nursing Director of Labor and Delivery at a California hospital in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. This position will overlook all patient care administered in the Labor and Delivery. It is a senior-level position responsible for a vital part of the medical center.

This position has been created by the Chief Nursing Officer, who believes it is vital to have someone overlooking all aspects of the units that compose L&D and obstetrics. The Nurse Director will work alongside the CNO to ensure that these departments remain some of the strongest in Orange County. The new Director will also be assisting with growing the departments and making them evermore efficient, while still providing fantastic comprehensive care.

This 115-bed hospital has a popular Birthing Center. A team of strong Nurse Coordinators assist the Director, as well as experienced staff nurses. The Director needs to be an RN, ideally with a BSN, and have pediatric and obstetric experience. Previous management experience is preferred. The Director is responsible for hiring and assisting the Clinical Educators in training new staff, as well as budgeting and maintaining finances.
