An innovative hospital in eastern Maryland is seeking a proven nurse leader to join their Maternal Child Health department. As a dependable healthcare provider for the community, this hospital system provides several educational programs and resources.

The Nurse Director of Maternal Child Health will join a compassionate acute care medical center that offers a complete range of services including surgery, wound care, women’s services and cardiopulmonary services. The state-of-the-art hospital is committed to providing a positive patient experience and delivering the most advanced medical care. This hospital is part of a larger health system that provides advanced medical care close to home for patients. The medical center provides outpatient prenatal care for women and a new inpatient maternity center with labor and delivery rooms, surgical suites, private postpartum rooms and neonatal care close by.

The Women’s Services Nursing Director will function as a member of the hospitals clinical services leadership team and will report directly to the Chief Nursing Officer. The Clinical Nurse Director of Obstetrics will oversee all areas of the Women’s Services department including, labor and delivery, well-baby nursery, gynecology, and postpartum. The Women and Children’s Nursing Director will be in charge of the operational management, professional staff development, quality assessments and improvement, and the creation of policies and procedures.
