A well-regarded health system in Western West Virginia is currently looking for a proven and dedicated leader to Direct their state-of-the-art Cancer Center.
This 300+ bed hospital serves a large regional area over Western West Virginia, Southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky. They offer a comprehensive suite of services, including 24/7 ER/Trauma Services, NICU, Women’s Services, a robust Surgical Services program and more. The Director Oncology will oversee a full-service Cancer Center on the same campus as the hospital. The Center offers a comprehensive Cancer Program that includes everything you would expect from a top-notch Cancer Center including compassionate care, Genetic Counseling, Behavioral Health, Patient Care Coordinators, Nutritionists, Cosmetology, Pastoral Care, Palliative Care and national clinical trials administered locally.
The Cancer Center Nurse Director is responsible for the overall financial, operational, and administrative success of the center. The Director Cancer Center will develop strategic goals and plans for the center, assess and direct the entire program at the center, develop and oversee a large budget and act as the chief quality officer for compliance, patient safety and patient experience at the center. This position would consider a nurse or non-nurse, but this position will not oversee nursing.
The right person for the Nurse Director of Oncology will have a strong healthcare background, with multiple years overseeing a clinical program at an acute care facility. This position requires a high degree of physician interaction, so a candidate with a good understanding of physician recruitment, engagement and retention would be a bonus!
