Physician Assistant Hospitalist

A large, not-for-profit health system with locations throughout Central and Northern Illinois has multiple opportunities now available for Acute Care Nurse Practitioners to work in a Hospitalist role within the inpatient units of this value-centered healthcare organization.

The Acute Care Nurse Practitioner will work in one of the smaller community hospitals within this healthcare system. This hospital is busy and in need of Nurse Practitioners with experience working in an Intensive Care Unit, Cardiology, Trauma or Med Surg or Surgical ICU.

The Hospitalist Acute Care Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for assisting with admitting patients and rounding on admitted patients throughout the hospital. The NP/PA will also assist with timely discharges.

The health system would consider an experienced Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. They would also consider new graduate NP’s with significant hospital RN experience. This position will generally rotate days/nights and manage 15-20 medical surgical and ICU patients.
