A well established 500 bed faith based hospital in Southern California is seeking an Oncology Nurse Practitioner.

The Hemetology Nurse Practitioner will perform an appropriate physical examination, review relevant laboratory or radiological data to assess the patient's medical, physical, and psychological status. The Masters prepared Nurse Educator will implement appropriate treatment plans including medication orders, the need of additional testing and provide community resources.

The Infusion Oncology Nurse Practitioner will counsel patients and their families regarding their treatment plan, including disease prevention and health promotion. The Heme Onc Nurse Practitioner will educate patients on the availability of culturally-sensitive health and resource information that is evidence-based, patient centered, and enables informed choice (POLST, Advance Directive, Pain Management and Palliative Care).

The Inpatient Oncology Nurse Practitioner will assume responsibility for maintaining clinical competence through participation in continuing education and other activities. The Palliative Care NP will participate in quality assurance activities including the Peer Review process and would play a key role in the training of new employees, colleagues, and students.

The Radiation Oncology Nurse Practitioner will maintain a working knowledge of state regulations will comply with relevant (Federal, State, and/or Organizational) laws, rules, and policies; including licensure and certification.
