Trailer Mechanic - Full-time / Part-time

Our client is looking to hire individuals for a Trailer Mechanic position.

In order to be considered for this position, candidates must have experience as a Trailer Mechanic or Technician.

Job Duties:

• Heavy duty equipment repair experience

• Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems

• Basic DC electrical knowledge

• A minimum of 5 years work experience

• We are currently looking a skilled and driven Trailer Mechanic to join our team. Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

• Maintaining proficiency in the diagnosis and repair of all equipment.

• Complete all repair orders in a timely manner ensuring all labor and parts are charged to the appropriate unit.

• Effectively and efficiently perform preventative maintenance inspections. Ensure the timely and effective repair of any problems identified.

• Troubleshoot and perform repairs on heavy duty trailers.

• Diagnose and repair air brakes, suspensions and lighting.

• Perform repairs on semi-trailers including repairing and replacing side panels, roofs, headers and frame rails.

• Utilize diagnostic tools and wiring diagrams to diagnose and repair electrical systems.

• Perform quality preventive maintenance inspections and DOT inspections on trailers and dollies.

• Repair roll up and swing doors.

• Repair and rebuild lift gates.

• Maintain daily work records on all repairs performed both electronically and on paper.
