Civil 3D CAD Technician - Full-time / Part-time

The Civil 3D CAD Technician is responsible for working with substation Engineers to prepare physical design (Structure/ Site Layout) construction plans using Civil 3D.

This individual will work on a variety of different projects: Transmission & Distribution (Substation, Power Poles); site development (Substation Power Line Right of Ways); Candidate will use Civil 3D to prepare engineering drawings while adhering to all standards and codes. For example the drafter will be responsible for creating surfaces, cutting plan & profile sheets in Civil 3D.

Will also be responsible for checking engineering drawings, red line clean up, compiling data and potentially performing dimensional calculations required for drawings.

Must Haves:

*2+ years of recent experience in Civil Drafting--substation and/or site development and/or water/wastewater/storm water.

*Familiarity with civil construction plan preparation: cutting plan & profile sheets, creating surfaces for any civil related, site development or water/wastewater projects

PLEASE NOTE: A CIVIL 3D Proficiency test will be conducted!

Nice to haves:

*Professional Experience using Civil 3D software.

*2 year technical degree preferred, but not required

*Substation and/or Utility Civil Drafter with 3+ years of recent experience that has professional experience using Civil 3D.
