About this job

2nd shift position

Assists in performing preventative and urgent maintenance of production machinery and equipment.

1. Repair and replace defective electrical equipment and electronic circuitry.
2. Install all electrical components on new plant equipment.
3. Design and configure new electrical and hydraulic systems to replace obsolete electro-hydraulic-PLC controls on Parabolic Taper Mills.
4. Design, build and implement electric-over-hydraulic-control devices to replace pneumatic-controlled devices currently in operation.
5. Validate infrared sensors and adjust servo motors on gas valve train to provide precise control of leaf spring forging temperature.
6. Design PLC-controlled proprietary equipment.
7. Recommend and maintain minimum stocking quantities of electrical supplies, circuit boards, temperature controllers, thermocouples, infrared sensors, oil pumps, valves, circuit breakers, electrical starters, electrolytes, transformers and plant lighting supplies.
8. Adjust servo valves on leaf spring forging and heat treating furnaces to maintain maximum fuel efficiency.
9. Monitor 3-phase high voltage transformers, switch gear, starters, relays, motors and control panels. Schedule preventive maintenance to prevent system failure.
10. Perform facilities lighting maintenance by replacing bulbs, ballasts and fixtures on a weekly basis.
11. Perform scheduled maintenance on water treatment pumping units, water chiller pumping units, quench oil re-circulating closed loop system and air to oil heat exchangers.
12. Train employees in the safe operation of electrical equipment.��
Work Environment: �� Loud, hot and dirty manufacturing plant. Over 150 total employees running production 24/7.�� Qualifications: �� 1. 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferably with hydraulic and pneumatics , PLC troubleshooting and diagnostics.
2. Proficient in blueprint reading.
3. Preferred experience with monitoring and adjusting combustion controls on gas-fired leaf spring slot furnaces��
