Pay: $15.00 / hour
Location: South Austin
Job description:
This is a call center customer service position that will take incoming calls and place outbound calls to health care providers. Referral Specialist's will initiate authorization requests for outpatient and inpatient services in accordance with the prior authorization list.
Route calls to appropriate staff when needed. Verify eligibility and benefits. Answer phone queues and process faxes within established standards.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of customer service. Call center and/or health care experience preferred.
Must also be able to use basic computer programs and perform data entry (40 wpm). Familiar with Excel and Word, standard office equipment (Fax/Copier).
Familiar with medical terminology
