Position Summary

In collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), the EVP Business Operations will ensure business growth through formulating, directing and managing corporate-wide business operation’s activities in accordance with the overall corporate business strategy. Results will be obtained through ensuring alignment between the operational capabilities of the organization and the business performance goals.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

-Strategy Formulation and Implementation:
Contribute to the development and refinement of overall corporate vision and strategy
Support the overall process of management and corporate decision-making to ensure the organization maximizes short, medium and long-term profitability and returns to key stakeholers
Liaise with other corporate executive leaders on the implementation of the company’s strategic and operational plans
Develop, review and report on the Operations division’s strategy, ensuring that strategic objectives are well-understood and executed by department heads

- Management of the overall Operations function including, but not limited to:
Direct or indirect responsibility for IT, Client Administration Services, HR, Talen Acquisition, Internal and Field Operations, Workforce Management
Ensure that the operations functions of the company are run effectively and efficiently so that each operational division performs in alignment with their strategic plan
Maintain the administration, budget monitoring, reporting, communication and liaison on all company affairs at a level acceptable to the ELT
Implement, maintain and manage an effective system of controls throughout the company, including both financial and non-financial controls
Ensure that operating objectives and standards of performance are owned by management as well as employees
Perform analytical deep dives to identify problems, opportunities and specific actions needed

- Development of an annual budget for ELT approval and manage resources within those budget guidelines according to company policy and within ethical corporate governance guidelines


Supervisory Responsibilities

Direct Reports
- Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources

Indirect Reports
- May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports

Travel and/or Driving Requirements
- Travel is an essential duty and function of this job. Driving is not an essential duty or function of this job.
- Travel up to 25%

Minimum Qualifications The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job

Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree
(Preferred): MBA Degree

Field of Study/Area of Experience: preferably in Business Administration with emphasis in Operations and/or Finance

- 10+ years of experience in operations, preferably in retail or marketing services organization
- 5+ years experienced in field labor-driven organization of deep understanding of this business model


Skills, Knowledge and Abilities


- Experience managing P&L in excess of $50M
- Demonstrated excellence and expertise in operations, finance, technology and administration
- Strong analytical skills
- C-level interpersonal experience/communication skills
- Ability to thrive in an extremely fast-paced, sales driven corporate environment

Environmental & Physical Requirements

Office / Sedentary Requirements
Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds. Office / Non-Sedentary Requirements
Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work may be performed in an office or warehouse environment. Typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each work day doing the following activities: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, or climb. May have possible exposure to dust, and may require the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds33% - 66% of the time. Field / Reps Requirements
Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed in a retail in-store environment. Typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each work day doing the following activities: engage in considerable physical activity, ability to lift and/or push up to 74 pounds, stand on feet for long periods of time, use products or cook food as appropriate for the demonstration, and may be required to work in extremely cold conditions (i.e. refrigerated and freezer sections). Also required to travel and drive. The use of proper safety practices when handling the products and/or cooking is essential. Field / Administrative Requirements
Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work may be performed in an office, field, retail store, or warehouse environment. Typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each work day doing the following activities: engage in considerable physical activity, ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds, stand on feet for long periods of time, use products or cook food as appropriate for the demonstration, and may be required to work in extremely cold conditions (i.e. refrigerated and freezer sections). Also required to travel and drive. The use of proper safety practices when handling the products and/or cooking is essential.
