The Lead Talent Development Consultant is responsible for improving the productivity of the organization’s leaders through leadership development programs. This person is responsible for the effective development, coordination and presentation of programs for all CenturyLink leaders. The position will be responsible for identifying the business needs that drive the programs and implement effective solutions to meet those needs. The position will continually assess current programs effectiveness and be able to demonstrate the impact to each program. In addition, the position will actively research, creatively design and implement effective methods to educate, enhance performance and develop leadership skills, this includes being responsible for optimizing the cost/benefit aspect of the programs.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions**):
· Demonstrates experience in training facilitation, presentation, coaching, influencing, and communication at multiple levels of the organization.
· Utilizes critical thinking and needs assessment skills to analyze, problem solve, and improve processes.
· Owns an entire training program; which includes partnership with key functional areas.
· Evaluates effectiveness and develops strategies to address root causes of business unit and corporate performance issues.
· Mentors and coaches team members.
· Proven expertise in delivery of facilitation and training activities.
· Acts as change agent for internal customers in development of solutions.
· Contributes technical expertise to the development, evaluation, and implementation of new course content in their area of expertise.
· Actively supports the development of employees in the organization, including cultural and process changes.
· Exercises considerable latitude in decision-making. May work with outside vendors to identify/schedule programs and support materials.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
· Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Education Instructional Design or Instructional Technology, Education Technology, or equivalent education, relevant experience, and training.
- Minimum 3+ Training and development knowledge and experience or equivalent focus in telecommunications, Telecom, Technology and/or Leadership.
- Strong computer skills required - Computer / Internet / Research Proficiency.
- Experience evaluating individual and/or group professional development needs, and recommending appropriate improvements.
- Work experience demonstrating strong analytical, communication, organizational, and writing skills.
- Prior work experience requiring strong public speaking and/or presentation skills.
- Prior work experience demonstrating cultural competencies in delivering and receiving constituent communication appropriate for a wide range of cultural, racial, geographic, ability or educational background.
Preferred
· Master’s Degree preferred.
· Previous management experience preferred.
