IT Support Specialist

General Description: Provides first and second-level IT support to end users. Manages design software licensing, installations, and updates. This employee also will support internal applications based on relational databases such as Epac, VDoc, and Sysaid helpdesk software. The incumbent must be able to work independently, problem solve, and prioritize. Requires the ability to interact with all organizational levels, and must be able to work in cross-functional teams towards a desired result.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Primary support for internal Help Desk - working directly with end-users to resolve trouble tickets in a timely manner.
  • Escalates trouble tickets as necessary
  • Active Directory Maintenance (user accounts; Group Policy; DNS etc.)
  • Support LAN/WAN connectivity, including remote sites and VPN users.
  • Maintain CAD license inventory, installations
  • Relational database software support
  • Web application front end support
  • Perform software and hardware installations, troubleshooting and maintenance - including desktops, laptops, handheld computers, and mobile devices.
  • Develop and maintain accurate technical and user documentation.
  • Maintain accurate asset and license inventory.
  • Understand and implement the health, safety, and environmental policies, and integrate health, safety, and environmental considerations into daily work
activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network.
  • Assist with other responsibilities and duties as required
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required. Technical certification or degree preferred.
  • Highly motivated individual with IT work experience and/or technical classes/training preferred
  • Ability to work independently with proper guidelines, while maintaining flexibility including working hours due to changing work priorities is required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Regular lifting of up to 35 pounds from ground to waist level.
  • Periodic lifting of bulky objects, often over 50 pounds in weight, and requiring
assistance of other employees to complete.
  • Extended periods of sitting at a computer, entering data, will be required.
All candidates must be:

· At least 18 years old and can provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States

· Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and/or drug screen
