Shift Leader
Essential Duties:
- Monitors and observes the day-to-day activities of subordinates, coordinates breaks for hourly associates, and keeps management informed of area activities and any significant problems
- Completes opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies/procedures
- Coordinates with management for on-the-job training of new associates
- Operates cash register and voids transactions as needed while following all HMSHost cash handling policies and procedures, and maintains proper security of cash at all times
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or use of a hand truck
- Implements product rotation based on product code dates in warehouse and concepts, orders product and participates in physical inventory counts as required
- Resolves customer complaints in a manner consistent with company policy, and with customer satisfaction in mind
- Practices excellent food safety and sanitation practices and complies with HACCP standards
- Monitors compliance with safety guidelines, builds awareness about safety, and reports any safety concerns to management
Requirements
Overview of Position: Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the entire shift and ensuring that all operations run smoothly & efficiently in the store. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: • Overseeing the proper performance of all store activities • Training employees and ensuring that employees are working efficiently and effectively • Maintaining adequate staff in retail and production positions • Performing retail tasks as needed • Performing production tasks as needed • Ensuring customers are being cared for properly • Model exceptional customer service skills for employees • Handle difficult customer situations professionally • Other duties as assigned Equipment Operation • Operate the POS system properly • Operate equipment in the proper manner Safety and Sanitation • Utilize proper cleaning techniques • Comply with sanitation standards Related Skills • Complete a processing schedule as needed • Must be able to perform all essential store functions Leadership • Perform as a team player • Assist in training and development of Team Members • Handle customer and employee complaints or concerns professionally • Assist management with staff scheduling and team-building • Supports Managers with training of new employees • Model company standards and policies consistently • Assist with execution of corporate initiatives (i.e. Marketing, HR policies and procedures) Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred • Must be 18 years of age or older • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills • Experience working with people and history of dependability • Must have flexibility to work any day or shift as needed • Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $12.00 /hour
