JOB DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Director of Planning & Interior Design, this position provides support for the Senior Interior Design & Graphic Design teams. Manages the upkeep of the Interior Design Library, orders finish samples, and develops furniture inventories as needed. Facilitates the procurement and installation of graphic signage. Develops technical solutions for small projects, ranging from single chair orders to the development of furniture idea starters for larger projects in support of senior interior designers. Project types include office, residential, hospitality, laboratory, and classroom spaces. In collaboration with a senior interior designer, selects and specifies finishes, furniture systems, fixtures and equipment. Prepares, administers, and evaluates furniture bids. Prepares required procurement documentation and facilitates tracking, benchmarking, and other analyses as needed. May direct work of vendors and contractors. Maintains product/design knowledge level by reviewing trade journals, attending conferences, and vendor presentations. Performs related responsibilities as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree in interior design, architecture or a related field and one year of commercial interior design experience working on commercial projects, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Knowledge of building codes, construction regulations and accessibility design. Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook. A degree from a Foundation for Interior Design Education Research (FIDER) institution and National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) certification preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
