The Opportunity

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities:

·       Supervise and coordinate activities of restaurant and catering employees on a per shift basis.

·       Follow and enforce work procedures and service standards set forth for lunch and dinner services and catering operations.

·       Set a positive example by reporting to work on time, in a clean and complete uniform.

·       Maintain good personal hygiene and display a responsible and cooperative work attitude.

·       Assist in developing bar menus, wine list, pricing, promotions, and service standards.

·       Assist restaurant and catering employees in serving guests or performing duties needed to ensure a smooth functioning operation. 

·       Performing inventory counts and authoring a bar report calculating cost of goods sold.

·       Scheduling of restaurant and catering employees adhering to the budget and forecasted business.

·       Analyze and resolve all problems with employees, guests, and the operation with the assistance of management.

·       Ensure that all equipment is set up properly and operating efficiently and accurately.

·       Ensure all deliveries are accurate and the product is of high quality.

·       Ensure all workstations, storerooms, bar, hosts stand, decks and dining areas remain clean, sanitized, safe and sufficiently stocked.

·       Assist management in the hiring and training of all employees.

·       Responsible for accurately opening and closing the restaurant following opening and closing procedures for each job position for the following day.

·       Assist in the timely payment of product invoices.

·       Adhere to and enforce inventory and labor control measures.

·       Assist in soliciting, booking, and planning of catering events.

·       Supervising catered events including set-up, the function, and breakdown following the agenda. 

·       Recommend measures to improve service, increase efficiency and heighten the experience for both guests and employees.

·       Assist in the ordering of bar product, rentals for events, and other products needed for the operation

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

·       Minimum of three years front of the house work experience in a formal restaurant.

·       Minimum of one year supervisor work experience in a formal restaurant.

·       Highly motivated, enthusiastic and friendly.  Enjoys working with people. 18 years or older.

·       Able to work long hours in a fast paced industry with some overtime.

·       Capable of following job procedures and management instruction.

·       Demonstrates the ability and desire to take initiative.

·       Capable of formulating intelligent and informed decisions.

·       Able to stand for long periods of time including bending, lifting, reaching, and stretching.

·       Able to carry 20 to 50lbs.

·       Knowledgeable in the operation of a high volume sit-down restaurant with high service standards.

·       Knowledge in bar operations including wine, beer, and spirits.

·       Experience in the handling of all forms of payment and ability to use a computerized POS system.

·       Able to report to work on time in required uniform following the hygiene standards.

 

Availability:

·       Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as directed.
