What You Will Do:
As a Clinical Assessment Manager -- Registered Nurse for Amedisys, you will contribute to the clinical team by assisting with the review and processing of OASIS assessments (SOC, ROC, Recerts) for assigned care centers. You will use your clinical expertise as well as your technical knowledge and experience in coding and the various assessment tools to advance patient care and quality outcomes.
* Receives and reviews patient OASIS assessments for assigned care centers.
* Reviews OASIS patient status items compared to other related patient documentation and Plan of Care to verify completeness and accuracy.
* Assists in evaluating needs of the patient and suggests referrals to other disciplines as indicated by the patient's needs.
* Identifies need for OASIS/documentation education and communicates group needs to care center leadership and Clinical Assessment Team Lead.
Required:
* Current unencumbered license to practice as a Registered nurse in all states in the assigned region.
* One (1 ) year ICD-9 or ICD-10 coding and OASIS experience.
* HCSD or BCHH-C ICD-10 certification
* OASIS (COS-C/HCS-O) certification, required within 3 months of hire date
Preferred:
* Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
* Current OASIS (COS-C/HCS-O) certification
* Three (3) years or more home health or hospice experience
* Proficiency using home care software and electronic documentation systems
