About this Position

• Are you an experienced, compassionate caregiver, CNA or LVN Sutdent?
• We have a long-term positions available in-home in San Rafael
• You will provide companion care and personal care to an elderly gentleman
• You will engage him in activities and prepare meals
• Your shifts will be 12hr minimum for the first two or three weeks then they will be 8hr ongoing
• You can choose to work day shifts, afternoon/evening shifts or awake-and-alert night shifts
• A commitment of a minimum of three consecutive shifts is required - full-time preferred

Pay & Benefits

• Your base pay for this client will be $18.10/hr
• Yearly income ranges between $40,000 to $55,000 working full-time
• PTO, Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA and Commuter Benefits
• You will be paid double time starting at $36.20/hr nine holidays per year
• You will have 24hr/7 support from your on-call Care Team

Skills & Experience

• Experience working with an individual living with Alzheimer's
• Experience with an individual who has challenging behaviors at times
• Experience with personal care and companion care
• Experience preparing and cooking meals
• Experience working in a facility a plus

Requirements

• Years of experience: 5+ years of verifiable employment history
• Experience working with seniors and patients with dementia - family caregiving experience is acceptable
• Must be able to pass a background check - We conduct the most thorough criminal background checks in the industry
• Drug-free - You must pass a drug test
• Tuberculosis (TB) clearance required
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Proof of work eligibility
• Valid driver license and clean driving record
• Reliable vehicle with current car registration and automobile insurance
• GED, high school diploma, or college degree
• Speak, understand, and write English fluently
