Description
The Head of Banking Operations Sourcing will be responsible for driving and implementing tailored sourcing strategies and procedures while providing senior level guidance within Citizens Bank. You will be leading a team and managing category spend for commodity areas such as payments/deposits, properties, lending services, marketing, operations and print. In addition, the Head of Banking Operations Sourcing will oversee the Supplier Diversity program for the enterprise as well as the Corporate Travel program.
In addition to developing and implementing sourcing strategies to meet enterprise-wide objectives, you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the implementation of the new agreements
- Supporting the assessment of the performance of suppliers and developing supplier improvement plans to support the continued focus on delivering improved value
- Leading strategic supply chain and business change
- Guiding the Corporate Travel program to ensure that employees are provided with industry leading travel planning and booking services/technology
- Guiding the Supplier Diversity program to expand the reach of the program to benefit both diverse suppliers and the Bank
- Presenting, influencing and developing people
- Coaching your team to deliver in a professional and innovative manner
Qualifications
- 10 years or more of relevant Sourcing experience preferably in financial services
- Experience maintaining internal and external relationships and a strong network of contacts
- 5 years of Professional Services sourcing experience
- In-depth knowledge of commodities, services and their supply markets
- In-depth knowledge of suppliers their markets and supply base management
- Strong commercial negotiation skills and a proven track record in the successful implementation of indirect services deals
- Demonstrated understanding of supplier management and experience in building relationships with strategic suppliers and management of multi-dimensional business relationships
- Broad understanding of contract management techniques through effective management of contractual performance
- Demonstrated high level of understanding and application of financial and management accounting principles within purchasing
- Developed negotiation techniques and application in complex negotiations within the Purchasing cycle
- Strong knowledge of vendor risk management and financial services regulations
- Expert presentation skills both written and verbal
- Experience communicating to executive level audience
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master's Degree preferred
- Member of CIPS preferred
Hours & Work Schedule
Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM
