Responsibilities* Provides general clerical support at University of Michigan School of Dentistry Community Dental Center.

Arranges and coordinates support and ancillary services for patient care.

Provides customer service to patients by facilitating business processes including but not limited to appointment scheduling and confirmations, check-in and checkout, pre-arrival registration and telephone triage.

Needs to use a electronic health record, and business/insurance database.

Assists with patient registration and confirming insurance at time of registration.

Prepares written business communications and communications with other clinics of various disciplines when coordinating patient care.

Responds to inquiries concerning department programs, services and activities.

Required Qualifications* Previous dental office front desk experience.

Excellent customer service experience as candidate must be able to respond to patient concerns in a professional manner.

Excellent communication skills.

Excellent punctuality and attendance record.

Excellent organizational skills.

Excellent attention to detail.

Excellent ability to multi task.

Desired Qualifications* Axium software experience. Familiar with University of Michigan procedures and policies. Familiar with School of Dentistry policies and procedures.

Work Locations This position is for the School of Dentistry located at the Community Dental Center 406 N Ashley.

Additional Information This is a 60%, part-time position with a prorated salary of $16,500-$18,000.

FTE or hours per week could be increased based off the needs of the clinic.
