Job Summary:

Project Schedule Director's job responsibilities include, but not limited to working with various departments to ensure estimated project schedules and durations are accurate. The candidate will develop, manage, and maintain multiple schedules, and to deliver consistent and concise baseline and scheduling requirements. This job will also have opportunities that will fall into the project management/program management to help support our Enterprise PMO team's efforts to support critical projects that require support. This successfully candidate will report directly to the Vice President of Key Programs and Governance Leader.

Job Responsibilities:

* The Project Scheduler will coordinate with the technical leads to ensure schedules are accurate, comprehensive, and include milestones, deliverables, dependencies, predecessors, successors, lag time, and all other pertinent MS Project data to ensure that they meet the requirements of the business.

* The Project Scheduler will measure and monitor the project's progress, work program-wide issues including third party schedules, and roll this up to the PMO for management review.

* The candidate will have strong MS Project skills and Microsoft Excel skills.

* The Project Scheduler will help to identify and manage project risk by meeting with the project teams weekly to assist in managing their project performance, status, open issues, and tasks.

* The candidate will see that project planning data is up to date and accurate and will conduct critical path analysis by working closely with the project team to manage project tasks and work flow.

* The Project Scheduler will create reports on project status for project stakeholders and leadership.

* The candidate will comply with company guidelines and internal processes recommending changes to improve the efficiency of scheduling, monitoring, and project reporting.

* Assist senior level management to develop programs required to implement organizational goals and/or resolve client specific challenges.

* Provide planning, organization, staffing, leadership, and management of programs designed to achieve corporate goals and objectives while ensuring corporate standards and guidelines are adhered to.

* Programs include new client implementations, as well as product development and upgrades across our client base.

* Resolve problems and mitigate risks, thereby ensuring the timely removal of roadblocks to help minimize / control delays for a program.

* Work directly with clients and client teams providing program expertise and direction on their specific program.

* Interact/communicate with all levels of the organization, including offshore counterparts, to ensure an appropriate level of understanding of needs and to establish effective partnerships leading to a successful implementation of program(s).

* Act as subject matter expert /liaison between various teams across the organization - working directly with clients, client teams and testers from all disciplines. When issues arise that have no clear owner, work with all the necessary teams to ensure a resolution is identified and implemented.

* Provide solutions/alternatives to various teams facing challenges.

* Prepared to jump in and help -- wherever, whenever, however.

* Develop strategies to meet specific assignment needs.

* Work with internal Xerox partners or the client to manage specific project priorities and expectations. Build effective liaisons with groups to support client delivery.

* Responsible for the policies, procedures, test plans, and the execution by appropriate teams to create, maintain, and deliver.

* Handles day to day technical topics, incident and problem management

* Responsible for making sure that all portions of implementation or ongoing service delivery work smoothly and result in high-quality service for the client.

* Uses problem-solving skills to assess risk and make decisions. Also works closely with the client and application team on service delivery

Other Skills / Requirements

* Technical/Relevant Bachelors Degree preferred

* PMP certification desired

* Able to make collective yet correct IT decisions in alignment to business needs

* Strong analytical, diagnostic, and creative thinking skills

* Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written)

* Team player

* Ability to work under pressure

* Detail oriented and efficient in a rapidly changing, compounding environment

* Self-motivated and driven

* This is a remote position and the candidate will be required to travel up to 75%

* Effectively interface with all levels of an organization -- both business and technical

* Must be currently eligible to work for any employer in the United States
