A successful Senior Manager for Training Creation will have:

 

 

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; and five years related experience including one year of supervisory/management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Understanding of instructional design principles
  • Understanding of adult learning theories
  • Ability to implement project management methodologies

The CSC Training and Communications organization creates training and communication materials for all of DISH’s Customer Service Centers (CSC). This audience includes over 12,000 agents and support staff across the world in 20 different CSC locations. Within this organization, there are two teams that work closely together. Each team is comprised of three job roles:

Instructional designers – manage the design for a variety of curriculum tracks

Content developers – write the content for a variety of formats, including instructor-led training, computer-based training, email communications, internal website updates and more

Producers – create the finished products using a variety of mediums, including print, video, and interactive media

 

The Senior Manager for Training Creation is responsible for setting a global communication and training strategy that aims to equip DISH representatives with the tools, skills, and knowledge they need to be successful in support of DISH’s overall goals.

 

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Develop subordinate managers to successfully lead their teams
  • Ensure all products developed by the department adhere to departmental standards
  • Effectively communicate with all levels of organizational staff.  Competencies include excellent presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
  • Formulates training policies, programs, and schedules, based on knowledge of identified training needs, company production processes, business systems, or changes in products, procedures, or services
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical and non-technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
