Position: Warehouse Worker/Forklift Operator

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Worker is responsible for picking, packing, and loading orders in an accurate, efficient and safe fashion that supports company strategy and policies and procedures.  The execution of warehouse duties is a critical component to customer satisfaction with the final product.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receive, unload, sort, stage, transport and place incoming orders.
• Pick, pack and load out-going orders.
• Process all related paperwork as required by internal procedures.
• Perform inventory control procedures including periodic cycle counts.
• Execute all warehouse duties with an emphasis on accuracy, efficiency and safety.
• Arrange and handle product being respectful of size, weight, height, and other characteristics, and follow safe material handling procedures.
• Safely operate forklift and/or other lifting devices in an appropriate manner.
• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with fellow employees, customers and vendors.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and a team work orientation.
• Work productively with little supervision.
• Keep warehouse clean and organized and in a safe working condition.
• Maintain all work equipment and tools in good and safe working order.
• Alert appropriate personnel when shop/shipping supplies need to be ordered.
• Follow all company safety and DOT policies and procedures.
• Arrive on time to work scheduled work hours and complete tasks as required.
• Perform all other duties as requested, assigned or required by management.

Knowledge, skills & abilities:

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Working knowledge of Windows based computer software and the ability to learn internal software applications.
• Good physical condition with the ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to stoop, bend, climb ladders and walk or stand for up to 8 consecutive hours.
• Strong customer service orientation with a demonstrated sense of urgency.
• Prior warehouse experience preferred with knowledge of UPS, Fed Ex and/or Emory shipping procedures/paperwork.

Education, licenses and experience

Minimum Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current driver’s license.
• Forklift license preferred but not required.

Location: Sun Prairie, WI

Pay: $13/hr DOE

Schedule: 1st shift
