As a member of Optum Human Capital Operations, this person will lead Optum’s Centralized Onboarding Team.  The Centralized Onboarding team is dedicated to providing a welcoming and efficient onboarding experience ensuring new and transfer employees have the equipment, access and resources they need to be operational on day one.  This person’s success will be measured by the team’s ability to provide high quality customer service while driving efficiencies and productivity to meet the growing hiring needs of the business.
 
We are currently recruiting for an Onboarding Manager to join our team in our Eden Prairie Optum offices. 
 
Manage/Lead:

Lead a team of 9 Onboarding Specialists (geographically dispersed) responsible for onboarding more than 7,000+ (and growing) new employees each year
Responsible for selecting/training new Onboarding Specialists, coaching team to achieve quality and productivity measures, facilitating weekly team meetings, conducting bi-weekly statuses, and performance management
Work closely with Senior Onboarding Specialists to triage work to the team, assign Onboarding Specialists to support large hiring groups, and maintain standard email communications and the contents of the new hire packet
Ensure team adherence to team metrics/best practices, BSL process/procedures and compliance with UHG policies
Support the team with troubleshooting issues and responding to escalated customer questions and concerns
Continuous Improvement/Data Analytics:

Analyze hiring projections from Talent Analytics and forecast the team’s projected hiring volume and staffing requirements
Evaluate reporting metrics to identify operational issues/opportunities; initiate meetings with organizational partners to identify and implement solutions that will improve the efficiency and quality of the onboarding experience
Develop, implement and maintain a tool to measure NPS; assess results and recommend/execute strategies to foster continuous improvement
Project Manager:

Serve as a strategic partner and project manager for coordinating the onboarding process for Optum College Recruiting Programs (requiring the team to onboard 1,000+ employees/interns, across the U.S. within a 2 week timeframe)
Lead the expansion process to bring additional Optum businesses into scope for Centralized Onboarding: evaluate hiring actuals, assess onboarding needs/complexities, and partner with HC and business leaders to implement a communication and training plan
Lead the implementation and change management plan to transition to a new Onboarding Portal that will enhance the end-user experience, provide sophisticated reporting capabilities, and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Onboarding team

Results - driven. Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize deliverables within a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience
2-4 years of supervisory experience
2+ years of experience working in a call center or customer service environment
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office, including Excel  (experience creating spreadsheets and using pivot tables) and Power Point
Demonstrated experience initiating  process improvements
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a metrics driven environment while ensuring customer satisfaction
Experience with Salesforce
