Description

Trade Development Manager

Included in this job description is an overview of responsibilities and they may change from time to time by the direction of the Director of Immediate consumption.

Trade Development Manager(TDM) is responsible for managing key accounts, school, and contract business . This will include growing case volume, gross margin and distribution and availability within an assigned account base. The TDM will also retain and develop existing customers and establish new customers with superior relationships. The TDM is also responsible for sharing market sales data(Nielsen) and category management tools to develop store sets

Position Territory

This position is based in our Houston, TX facility.

Position Shift and Schedule

This is a full time permanent position typically working Monday through Friday, 6:00am until finished. Flexibility to work beyond the standard 40 hour work week is required as business needs dictate as well as being able to work the occasional weekends for special events.

Position Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain a reporting system to measure distribution / penetration levels and case sales and gross margin for assigned 3rd Party Operator/Micro Market, Wholesale account base.
  2. Through personal selling efforts, increase the Region’s penetration / distribution level at assigned 3rd Party Operator/Micro Market, Wholesale account base.
  3. Develop programs and promotions to increase sales by expanding product distribution within the existing 3rd Party Operator/Micro Market, Wholesale account base locations.
  4. Partner with internal team such as, District Managers, Business Development Representatives, and Customer Service Representatives to execute volume building plans.
  5. Identify Key Middle and Upper level Managers within the assigned account base to develop relationships by maintaining an account call schedule.
  6. Work with Department Manager to establish and maintain pricing programs.
  7. Maintain awareness of competitive pricing and programs within the channel.
  8. Assist Region Accounting / Finance Team in establishing accruals for all Managed Services funding responsibilities.
  9. Ensure the accuracy of Master Data within the channel – Account naming conventions, Pricing, Chain Maintenance, Channel Maintenance, and Market Type Maintenance.
  10. Reporting to include, review and analysis of assigned accounts for case sales and financial data; prepare month to date (MTD) and year to date (YTD) reporting for assigned accounts; key drivers for case volume and margin; account maintenance; placements; and post promotional analysis.
  11. Must have strong communication and organization skills with the ability to coordinate multi-functional business demands.
  12. Make key accounts calls on assigned accounts to maximize volume and profit
  13. Communicate with technicians and services dispatch regarding equipment
  14. Forecast volume by brand and package as needed.

  • High School degree or general equivalency diploma (GED)
  • 5 years Prior sales experience
  • 1 years’ experience using Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable vehicle
