Part-time catering delivery

We are looking for someone to help with weekly catering deliveries to DC/VA/MD - including light set-up - on a part-time pay per delivery basis. Majority of deliveries are inside the Beltway.  This is a good opportunity for someone trying to make some extra money, but this not a full-time job. There will not be a set number of hours or set number of deliveries per week, it depends on flow of business.  Most weeks we have several caterings to deliver. 

Experience required:

- Prior experience with small and medium sized catering deliveries preferred (typically 15 - 60 person orders is BOWL'D drop and light set up).

- Track record of timely deliveries

- Experience with light catering package set up at client sites

- Track record of positive client interactions

- Individuals who would like to deliver such packages

Other requirements:

- Must have your own vehicle large enough for transporting catering deliveries with up to two Cambro stackable insulated catering food transport containers (24" H x 18" W x 27" long). If you have a smaller vehicle, we do some smaller deliveries with standard shoulder strap catering bags, but you will not be able to help us with all deliveries.  

- Ability to safely and securely lift food containers (up to 50 lbs) in and out of vehicle alone. Dolly provided for getting containers from your vehicle to client office/kitchen area for larger orders.

- Positive references required.

- Must have cell phone or smart phone with texting capability for communication/confirmation of timely deliveries

- Background check and driving record check may be required

Pay: Fixed rate per delivery trip. Longer-trips higher rate. Deliveries are to client sites from the BOWL'D's restaurant/kitchen in Arlington, VA.

Most of our catering deliveries are for lunch and involve simply loading up freshly prepared food from store that morning and bringing food into client premise and putting out chafing pans (with food already in them), serving utensils, food labels and eating utensils. Most catering packages do not include chafing stands or sternos.

Candidates living in close proximity to our Clarendon location in Arlington, VA are preferred.
