POSITION PURPOSE

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
? Manage the inventory on assigned projects with the goal of zero inventory balances at project completion.
? Forecasting of project material demand by obtaining data from the customer and developing monthly and quarterly projections of item usage.
? Follow through on confirming that systemically generated Purchase orders are placed with the vendor and that the timely receipt of product flows to the RRC (Regional Replenishment Center).
? Input of project Master Kit Templates as designated by the specifications of the projects assigned.
? Initiate and maintain contact with the field Project Manager for the customer to ascertain order release dates, communicate and solve jobsite issues related to product, and assure the smooth flow of materials to meet the requirements of the customer.
? Communicate with vendors, freight carriers, purchasing, sales, national and local branch distribution centers, and operations to maintain informed partners key to the successful management of the project.
? Implement solutions and follow through for all order releases, vendor/defective returns and any other internal / external issues affecting the timely flow of goods and services to the project.
? Maintain a logbook by project of actions/issues/solutions for the length of the project.
? Maintain an open line of communication with management at regular intervals determined: to report the progress, changes, problems and any other issues affecting your ability to successfully satisfy the need of the customer and profitably provide the flow of materials to the assigned projects.
NATURE AND SCOPE
This Strategic Project Manager position reports directly to the Business Manager.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Additional Environmental Job Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Additional Minimum Qualifications:

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 2 years
Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
