JOB SUMMARY


Affordable Housing Group (AHG) of CBRE is seeking a qualified candidate with 3‐5 years of prior multifamily brokerage experience who is ambitious, intense, solution‐driven and ready to join our real estate services team. The position provides an opportunity to leverage prior brokerage work experience, learn the affordable housing niche and manage the marketing of transactions across the country. Opportunity will provide experience in execution of brokerage tasks necessary to complete a transaction, from initial underwriting through closing. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and attention to detail are required to work effectively with the Affordable Housing team, other remote Advisors, buyers, and sellers. Develops business and negotiates the selling, leasing, and marketing of commercial real estate properties for clients. Honorary Titles of Senior Associate, Vice President, First Vice President, Senior Vice President, Executive Vice President and Vice Chairman are awarded based on production.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Understanding the fundamentals and complexities of tax credit real estate transactions
  • Calling buyers throughout the U.S. to introduce transactions, drive bids, and/or assist in driving the market‐making process
  • Developing relationships with tax credit property owners
  • Assisting Directors with the hands‐on execution of transactions in various phases
  • Managing transaction status and issues through all stages of execution
  • Performing underwriting on assigned transactions.
  • Contributing to process improvements and service delivery to our clients
  • Maintains current knowledge of market conditions, property values, and legislation that may affect the real estate industry
  • Drafts correspondence to existing and prospective clients.
  • Gathers, prepares, and distributes marketing materials
  • Maintains accurate and up‐to‐date information in company databases



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • May provide informal supervision to individual employees within a work unit and or group, but does not include hiring or firing.
  • Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3‐5 years of experience in real estate brokerage or investment banking, or other transaction oriented business
  • Must have or obtain a Washington State Real Estate Salesperson license
  • B.S. or B.A. degree required, with a concentration in finance or economics strongly preferred; MBA a plus
  • Microsoft Office applications and general computer skills; Excel skills are most important
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide
  • efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers.
  • Ability to effectively present information
  • Experience working in a fast‐paced environment
  • Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents.
