POSITION PURPOSE
Manager Inventory Planning & Replenishment is responsible for developing, executing, and monitoring strategic inventory initiatives for portfolio of products in a fast-paced retail environment. The manager leads a team of 3-8 individual contributors that each own the replenishment of one or several product categories. Responsibilities include analyzing trends in demand, creating replenishment strategies that achieve desired service levels, anticipating future needs, and motivating their team of analysts. Managers must be dynamic, action oriented, and focused on delivering results for their customer. Manager Inventory Planning & Replenishment holds responsibility for over $500 million in average inventory, over $2 Billion in annual sales, and hundreds of thousands of store/SKU combinations. This position interfaces with many other functional areas, including Merchandising, Distribution, Transportation, Finance, Demand Planning, and Executive Leadership.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
25% Strategic Planning ? Set a vision for the future to drive sales, margin & turns. Determine specific goals and measure the team?s progress towards achieving them. Participate in transformational Supply Chain initiatives that result in improved service levels, costs, or product availability.
25% Tactical Implementation of Replenishment Plans ? Translate high level organizational objectives into specific replenishment plans. Routinely analyze inventory performance and modify replenishment tactics as necessary to drive ongoing improvement to sales, margin and turns.
25% Customer Support & Managing Internal Relationships ? Meet with internal customers to understand their needs; incorporate feedback from these stakeholders into replenishment strategies. Collaboratively plan for promotions, advertisements, and new product introductions. Work cross-functionally to resolve product availability issues
25% Manage Resources ? Grow and develop a team of direct reports. Recognize and reward team accomplishments; attract and retain talented individuals. Eliminate roadblocks that stand in the way of the team?s success. Delegate tasks and ensure execution. Provide clear direction and help team members navigate through ambiguity.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 4 years
Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Previous work experience in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Merchandising (previous retail experience would be valued)
APICS Certification would be a plus
Bachelor?s Degree (preferably with an emphasis on Supply Chain Management, Business or Engineering)
Master?s degree is a plus
Candidate must have demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to quickly retrieve, manipulate, analyze, and interpret data.
Strong quantitative skills through knowledge of statistics and quantitative data analysis and interpretation
