Direct Care Professional  (Job Coach - Support Specialist)

Job Location: Madison East (Home Office) 

Full-Time:  30-35 hours per week   OR

Part-Time:  20-29 hours per week

Support Specialists help adults with developmental disabilities or traumatic brain injuries work in, live in, and be a part of the community. Responsibilities include providing direct support for jobs and community activities, participating in case planning, and performing personal care as needed. Education or experience working with people with disabilities preferred.

Ideal Candidate:

• Driven to patiently work with people with developmental disabilities
• A high level of commitment towards assisting others to achieve goals
• A willingness to learn and understand the motivations and behaviors of people with developmental disabilities.
• Be reliable and dependable
• The willingness and ability to provide direct support and take direction

Other Key Points:

• Not an office job, does require local driving to fulfill duties of the position
• Are you at least 18 years of age?
• Do you have a valid driver's license?
• Do you own or place to purchase your own vehicle or have access to a vehicle for daily work use?
• Do you have or plan to obtain auto insurance?
• Have you have any accidents or moving violations in the last 5 years?
