Position Summary:

Work with business partners and other stakeholders to develop and implement long-term data quality strategies, identify data quality gaps, and implement reporting processes in order to track data quality improvements, enhance current systems, define and prioritize high-value quality products and manage projects to completion, develop standardized testing methods which facilitate the data quality checking process. Partner with Product Management, User Experience, Loyalty, Marketing, IT and dunnhumbyUSA to create integrated measurements and reporting models that deliver insight across all online and offline activities. Essential Job Functions:
  • Work with Product Managers to understand program strategy, goals, and objectives in support of the Digital Customer Program
  • Establish an on-going process to maintain quality data and define quality audit processes
  • Design and implement an enterprise business glossary by analyzing reports, applications and databases to identify and define standard business terms and data elements
  • Research, coordinate, and execute the transfer of new data feeds or data corrections with stakeholders to ensure continuity and service level are maintained
  • Assist in defining and implementing an overall data quality strategy and approach to determine, investigate, and resolve data quality issues
  • Utilize profiling, quality tools, and various data sources in order to determine causes of data quality issues
  • Identify and leverage opportunities to improve the data quality management processes, systems, and standards
  • Set up of experimental designs to answer business questions, create recommendations on strategy and implementation based on analytics, and managing short-duration and longer-term analysis
  • Recommend modifications and changes, if any, to the appropriate departments.
  • Work closely with business partners and other stakeholders to resolve data quality issues

Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • Two (2) years data quality, data profiling and data stewardship related activities
  • Aptitude and experience with relational databases, including intermediate knowledge of SQL
  • Experience with advanced Business Intelligence tools, such as Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Microstrategy, Alteryx, Tableau, or similar
  • Advanced proficiency manipulating very large datasets in Microsoft Excel, Access
  • Willingness to acquire knowledge on new technologies to solve quality problems
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently, self-directed and solutions-oriented
  • Ability to travel independently(less than 10%)
Desired Previous Job Experience
  • 1+ year development, implementation, reporting, and/or analytic experience with Omniture, Google Analytics, or similar web analytics tool
  • Operates in rapidly evolving digital environment with multiple lines of business, significant new digital product development and delivery
  • Analytics experience supporting marketing and product management/user experience particularly focused on e-mail, web and mobile channels, and social media/social tools.
  • Multi-channel retailer analytics support
  • Bachelor's degree in Database Management, Computer Science, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or related field
