OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR
Express Employment Professionals is looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor. $24+ an hour depending on experience. Will perform a wide range of moderate to difficult activities. Coordinates resources to ensure safe, efficient and profitable operations; uses independent judgement within the framework of established policies and objectives in decisions affecting company activities; makes recommendations and assists in the formulation of company objectives, policies, and plans as they relate to operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages all drivers and dispatching using the most efficient means practical while meeting customer expectations supporting the branch’s commercial goals, and minimizing liability to the company. Ensure all work is accurate and completed on time.
Works with Operations Manager to ensure compliance to applicable company policies and government regulations. This may include accident/incident investigations, hiring and termination decisions, and environmental, health, safety and quality issues.
Identify and resolve delivery problems, and helps to ensure smooth movement of goods.
Coordinates with Commercial and Operations Management to service customers in the safest most efficient manner possible.
Qualifications:
Possess a thorough understanding of the chemical distribution business. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interface with all levels of management. Must be self-starter and occasional to moderate travel may be required.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree, and a minimum of 5yrs related work experience; or a combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands:
The employee is regularly required to talk or hear, frequently required to stand, walk and sit. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. Frequently lift and/or move up to 10lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs.
