Loan Processor

LOCATION: SW Portland

SALARY: $45-$55k/year

JOB DESCRIPTION: Direct Hire opportunity with one of Portland's best-known mortgage companies. This opportunity offers a salary of $45,000-$55,000 DOE. Bonus potential brings total compensation potential to $60,000-$80,000!

The primary job function of the Loan Processor is to manage a pipeline of loans for one or more Loan Officers. The Loan Processor shepherds each loan file from beginning to end, interacting with Loan Officers, customers, Realtors, Escrow, Underwriting, Funding, and anyone else involved in the loan process. The Loan Processor is ultimately responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of loans. The person who enters into this position must display organization, integrity, professionalism and investment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage loan timelines
• Comply with and stay informed of all compliance requirements
• Review 1003s and supporting documentation as submitted by Loan Officers
• Organize and file documentation in electronic loan folders within Encompass 360
• Run and understand automated findings, fraud reports, and other verifications
• Analyze income, assets, and credit
• Request and collect additional documentation as needed prior to initial underwriting
• Assist borrowers in understanding, retrieving, and completing their initial loan disclosures
• Coordinate with Appraisal Desk to order and schedule appraisals
• Send regular updates to all parties associated with a loan transaction
• Submit clean loans to internal and external underwriters
• Prepare and provide accurate re-disclosures, as needed
•Work with borrowers, internal departments, and third parties to obtain all loan conditions within required time frame
• Submit clean files to the Docs department for CD’s and final loan docs
• Coordinate closing time frame with Borrowers, Escrow, and Funding Department
• Request and collect post-closing and purchase conditions, as needed
• Attend regular pipeline meetings with Loan Officer(s)
• Assist in covering vacation time for other Loan Processors
