About this job
Provides clinical support to patients in the primary care clinic under the supervision of the physician. Provides continuity and coordination of care in the outpatient setting.
Education: Preferred Certified Medical Assistant
Experience: Experience working in a medical office preferred.
Skills: Ability to operate or learn to operate the following equipment: Pulse Ox, Ear Syringe, Cryosurgery instruments, EKG Machine, Suture/Staple Removal, Nebulizer, Crash Cart, Portable O2 tank, Assist with minor surgery. Knowledge and skills to provide age appropriate care to patients.
Typical Physical Demands: Full range of motion of the upper and lower extremities. Dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Requires corrected vision and hearing to the normal ranges and the absence of color blindness. Standing/walking/sitting for extended periods of time. Ability to work under stressful conditions. Moving and or lifting up to 40 pounds. Irregular hours may be necessary at times. Potential for exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluid which require the use of body substance isolation precautions.
