Coach Service Attendant (Bus Cleaner/Maintenance)

Start your career as a Coach Service Attendant and advance into roles such as, assistant mechanic, mechanic, foremen, dispatch, road supervisor or other job classifications. Your career path is up to you! Immediate openings at all three bus terminals located in Clinton Township, Troy, and Inkster.

Under supervision, performs hostelling and servicing operations; cleans all coach interiors, seats, flooring, windows and exteriors as required; keeps shop and yard areas clean and neat; and assists in automotive maintenance. Performs minor repairs not classed or skilled such as bulb changing; handles coach change-offs in road calls; and cleans parts.

Minimum Requirements

Some experience in minor vehicle repair or maintenance.

Must have physical strength and agility; physically and mentally capable of performing all the duties of the classification.

Must have some mechanical knowledge, aptitude, initiative and resourcefulness.

Will be required to operate bus and maintain a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with the required endorsement and group designation based on the gross vehicle weight.

Must have experience relative to department functions

Starting Pay Rate: $10.22/hr ($15.60/hr after 5 years)
