Strong working knowledge of Quality Engineering tools and techniques• Ability to comprehend, support and ultimately train others on all process• Ability to work within a diverse work force as a change agent practicing preventative methodology• Ability to effectively interact with internal and external customers at all levels of the organization• Strong and effective communication skills (written and oral)• Solid blueprint reading skills including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T), inspection layout skills and statistical skills• Self-motivated and ability to effectively work without supervision• Strong, participative team skills• Strong customer satisfaction orientation• Solid computer skills• Experience in inspection techniques and metrology• Sound knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Process Capability, SPC, and PPAP process.
Required:
EDUCATION:• Associate Degree or 5 years working for an OEM or tier one supplier
Primary Position responsibilities:• Oversees customer complaints to determine quality activities required to eliminate issues• Serves as a resource and additional leadership on quality related issues: including process capability, SPC, PPAP, metrology and customer/supplier interface• Conducts Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) in conjunction with advanced quality-planning activities and monitor the status throughout production life• Facilitates the establishment and implementation of quality specifications, testing procedures and standards for raw materials and for process and finished goods
Reporting to this position: Quality Technicians• Work environment: (Describe all environments -- ie. Office, manufacturing plant, outside, etc.)
