Position Details
Unit Name: Shenandoah
Reports to: Front Desk Supervisor/Manager
Non-Union: Non
Position Summary: To provide courteous, professional guest service by assisting guests with their needs during checking in/out guests and providing customer services to guests as needed
Essential Functions:
- Greet all guests with a smile and positive attitude, using guests’ names whenever possible.
- Welcome guests, ask about their stay and fulfill any special requests.
- Assist guests in/out in a timely manner.
- Promptly answering telephone, using guest name, fulfill any requests or answer, when needed, to
questions in a courteous manner
- Keep area neat and orderly.
- Be aware of guest arrival/departure list—so that you are prepared to meet their needs.
- Perform guest services, helping guests solve any problems they may help.
- Assist guests with special needs as needed.
- Wear Company issued uniform and maintain a professional and well-groomed appearance at all times.
Non-essential Functions:
- Cross-train in numerous positions to fill any voids throughout the facility.
Education & Experience:
- High School diploma
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Provide hotel and restaurant information to guests
- Carry out specific oral and written instructions
- Use hands and arms to operate telephone, handle dishes, clean, etc.
- Memorize and/or familiarize yourself with specials and hours of operation
- Lift and carry heavy boxes, on occasion
Physical Requirements:
- Walking or standing for entire shift
- Twisting, bending, reaching, talking, listening and smiling with ease
- Lifting up to 10lbs. frequently
Environmental Working Conditions:
· Exposed to all types of weather
